Slow Cooker Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta

Posted on

Like bacon? Of course you do. Everyone loves bacon.
My boyfriend loves chicken bacon ranch anything: pizza, subs, nachos, etc. So I came up with the perfect pasta to fit his tastebuds- Slow Cooker Chicken Bacon Ranch.

3 chicken breasts

1 can of cream of chicken soup

1 cup of Real Bacon bits

1/2 cup of sour cream

1/2 package of dry ranch seasoning

Cut chicken breasts into bite sized pieces and put in bottom of slow cooker. Mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, bacon bits and ranch seasoning and cover chicken. Let cook on low for 4 hours, or until chicken is cooked thoroughly. Cook pasta al dente and mix into slow cooker with creamy chicken. Serve and enjoy!

Best Second Hand Stores in the Evansville Area: Google Map

Screen shot 2013-05-07 at 10.32.29 AMSome of my fondest memories growing up were when I went “thrifting” with my mom. We would devote an entire Saturday to finding the best little hole-in-the-wall consignment stores, along with the best deals. We would come home with “new” clothes, decorations for the house, furniture, movies, toys etc. You name it, we probably bought it. We didn’t just buy things for the sake of buying them. We would hunt until we found the coolest and most unique deals.

My love for thrift store shopping did not stop when I moved out. When I have some spare time I enjoy going to the local secondhand stores to see what treasure I can find for my apartment. I really love when I find a great deal on something (even if it is secondhand), and so does my wallet!  I’ve found a few to be my favorites and I’d like to share them with you.

Here‘s a Google map of some of my favorite thrift stores in the Evansville area.
Happy Thrifting!

Comparing Lists: Grocery Shopping on a Budget

Healthy groceriesSince Aldi grocery stores came to Evansville, I haven’t hardly shopped anywhere else for my weekly groceries. I like Aldi brand foods, and you really can’t beat the prices. I was thinking about this a couple weeks ago and decided to do a real price compare.

I made a grocery list of normal weekly things I would buy. Instead of just buying these things at Aldi as I usually do, I also went to Walmart and got the same things. I got the cheapest brands. Here’s how they compared: Read the rest of this entry
